Editorial & Content Guidelines
Changes or Edits to your press release must be submitted by 8:00 PM US Eastern Time (5:00 PM Pacific) the day before your press release is scheduled for distribution. You will not be permitted to make changes after this time.
Overview:

123PR's editorial team reviews all press releases before it is distributed to ensure that the content is newsworthy and accurate in a PR format. The press releases should have a clear and newsworthy angle and be free from spam. It should incorporate the following features:

PR Content:

The news angles that have timely information about an organizational milestone like an award or anniversary, pro tip on a topic in the news, business expansion or recent event, new service, or products. The news announcement should be mentioned in the headline as a best practice.

Tone:

Always write in the third person – don't put “WE” or “I” unless you are using a direct quote. Avoid adjectives and sales-pitch language. Don't put your own opinions while writing. Try to avoid jargon as not many understand it.

Information:

Press Releases submitted to 123PR should contain a valid email address and/or phone number in the contact information.

Authorize:

You have full written permission from any companies or names mentioned in the press release. Independent representatives of network marketing companies must have consent from the executive.

Length:

Press releases ideally should be between 250 and 1000 words. The length of the piece directly affects the distribution. Too short PR's have trouble getting indexed in search engines.

Accuracy:

All the users of 123PR must submit only accurate and factual information. No misleading content and false information.

Spelling and Grammar:

The press releases should be free from grammatical and spelling errors. It should be written in proper English. Always proofread to avoid errors. You are responsible for your content.

Format:

The press release should not contain HTML tags, tables, javascript code, strange formatting or special characters. Avoid writing the entire release in Capital letters.

123PR Does NOT Distribute:
Legal Matters:

Criminal matters or legal actions with complaint number, the court of record or case number. Law firms promoting their practice, new hires, milestones are acceptable.

Advertise:

We do not accept stories written like blatant advertising like "Black Friday Sale 50% Off! Buy Now!!!" If the main document's purpose is to sell, ensure it is written with a worthy news angle like "Company ABC Announces its The Black Friday Sale with 30% Savings". That is acceptable.

Adult/Explicit Content:

123PR doesn't accept sexually explicit products or materials. Releases should be free from references or links to profane language, illegal or sexual material. All the 18 years or older websites are considered as explicit such as pornography, adult dating, onlyfans, etc.

Gambling:

123PR doesn't publish releases that promote or link to fantasy sports or online gambling.

e-liquid/ Vapor:

123PR doesn't publish releases that promote or link to e-liquid, e-cigarette, or vapor.

Kratom:

123PR doesn't publish releases that promote or link to kratom, psychedelics or illegal substances.

Loan:

123PR doesn't publish PR's that market to short term or unsecured loan services or link to payday.

Pharmaceuticals:

123PR doesn't accept PR from online pharmaceuticals or websites that sell drugs or prescriptions unless the PR or websites state a doctor's prescription is required to buy or is accredited.

Weight Loss Products:

We don't allow any potentially hazardous or unsafe weight loss products or ingredients.

Sexual Enhancement Products:

123PR doesn't permit press releases that encourage sexual enhancement products.

Stock/Crypto:

123PR doesn’t accept press releases that recommend, speculate or makes price predictions. Stories on crypto and blockchain products and services are acceptable.

Politics:

Political rhetoric will not be allowed. Content should not promote/condemn an opinion or attack another political party.

Intent To Harm/Negative Press:

123PR restricts content intended to harm or defame a person or group. 123PR doesn't distribute content criticizing any person, website, product or brand.

Opinion/Open Letters:

Opinion pieces and open letters will not be allowed. They generally lack attribution and news value.

Reprints:

Feature or news stories, editorials, opinion columns, articles, or images from other publications or sites, if they are copyrighted are not press releases.

Note:

123PR's editorial staff reviews all press releases before they are distributed. The editors have the final word in determining whether the content is appropriate for distribution on 123PR network.

Acceptable Content With Restrictions:
One publishing network imposes restrictions on certain types of content. This means your story will not be published under their platform which will affect your link count in your Distribution Report.
Cannabis:

Marijuana, THC or derivatives, recreational, dispensary or research based content (ie Delta-8, Delta-9). Hemp, CBD, cannabinoid, cannabidiol is unaffected.

Religion:

No content that promotes/condemns religion. Religious content about book releases is acceptable but cannot appear as dogma.

Weapons:

Weapons/Guns. Only market reports are allowed. No graphic hunting details around various hunting equipment. While hunting equipment is allowed as long as it’s not a weapon.

Cosmetic Surgery:

No content promoting body modification like liposuction, botox, breast augmentation and hair transplants.
